SARATHA RAMASWAMY MEDICAL AND EDUCATIONAL TRUST
These Donation Terms explain how contributions made through the online donation form on this website are collected, processed, and used by Saratha Ramaswamy Medical and Educational Trust (“the Trust”). By choosing to donate through this website, you agree to the terms set out below, in addition to our general Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
All contributions made through this website are voluntary. The Trust does not guarantee any goods, services, or benefits in exchange for a donation, except where explicitly stated. Donors are free to choose the cause, donation type, and amount they wish to contribute.
Online donations are processed securely through Razorpay, a licensed third-party payment gateway. Accepted payment methods may include debit/credit cards, net banking, UPI, and other options made available by Razorpay from time to time. The Trust does not store or have access to your card, banking, or UPI credentials; these are handled entirely by Razorpay and your bank/payment provider.
Donations made through this website are processed in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise indicated at the time of donation. Once a payment is successfully authorized by your bank or payment provider and confirmed by Razorpay, your donation is considered complete and an acknowledgement will be shared with you at the email or contact details provided in the donation form.
If you choose a recurring/monthly donation option, your selected amount will be processed periodically as authorized by you at the time of setup. You may request to modify or stop future recurring contributions at any time by contacting the Trust through the details on our Contact Us page. Please allow a reasonable processing time for such requests to take effect.
Donations made to the Trust are, in general, non-refundable, as they are utilized towards the Trust’s charitable, medical, and educational activities. However, if you believe a donation was made in error — such as a duplicate transaction, an incorrect amount, or a technical error during payment — please contact the Trust promptly through the Contact Us page. Genuine cases will be reviewed and, where appropriate, a refund may be processed to the original payment method, subject to Razorpay’s and the respective bank’s processing timelines.
Where applicable, the Trust may issue a donation receipt for the contribution made. Donors who wish to claim any available tax benefit on their donation should retain this receipt and consult their tax advisor regarding eligibility and applicable provisions, as tax benefits depend on prevailing laws and the Trust’s registration status at the relevant time.
Donations from outside India are subject to applicable Indian laws governing foreign contributions, including the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, where relevant. The Trust reserves the right to request additional information from foreign donors, or to decline a contribution, where necessary to remain compliant with applicable law.
Information you provide in the donation form (such as your name, contact details, and address) is used to process your donation, issue receipts and acknowledgements, and communicate with you about your contribution. The Trust does not sell or rent donor information to third parties. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details on how your information is handled.
All online payments on this website are processed through Razorpay over a secure, encrypted connection. The Trust’s website does not receive, store, or process your card or bank account details at any point — these are handled directly and securely by Razorpay and your payment provider.
The Trust may update these Donation Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, payment partners, or applicable law. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the revised terms will apply to donations made after the date of update.
If you have any questions about a donation, a receipt, a recurring contribution, or these Donation Terms, please reach out to Saratha Ramaswamy Medical and Educational Trust through the contact details provided on our Contact Us page.
